William (Bill) Bacarella, CPA

William (Bill) Bacarella, CPA joined the Meyer and Associates group in January 2010 and is helping the firm to facilitate the retirement of Ted Meyer.

Bill is currently the president of the Board of Trustees of Monroe Community College. He has previous experience in CPA firms, was the Chief Financial Officer of two companies, and spent over ten years as a stock broker. Bill has been a lifelong resident of Monroe County and brings great value to Meyer & Associates and its clients.

Julie K Harman, EA

Julie Harman is our tax manager. She has been with Meyer & Associates since January of 1990. Julie has passed the Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agents Exam and has been certified as an enrolled agent since May of 1988. She is a 1994 graduate of Monroe County Community College with an Associates degree in Science. Her professional memberships include the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Tax Practitioners.

Julie's outside interests include family activities, gardening and traveling. She is an active member of the Monroe Exchange Club and currently serves on their board. She attends St. John the Baptist parish, were she was a former member of the parish council. She also served on the school board at St. Mary Catholic Central as chair of the finance committee.

Janice Vogelsang, CPA

Janice Vogelsang, CPA is the firm's audit manager. She began employment with Meyer & Associates in 1997. Jan is the graduate of Monroe County Community College and has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Eastern Michigan University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.

Jan enjoys spending time with her family. She enjoys traveling and outdoor activities. She is member of Ida United Methodist Church and serves on committees at church and organizations in the community.

Donna Bates

Donna Bates joined the firm in February 2008 as a staff accountant. Donna is a 1980 graduate of Monroe County Community College with an Associate of Commerce degree and a 2007 graduate of Siena Heights University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an Accounting major. She is currently taking courses at Siena Heights University toward a master’s degree in organizational leadership. Donna is an affiliate member of Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.

Donna’s time outside of work revolves around her husband and four children. She is a member of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church and serves on the several committees. Donna also enjoys singing in the Adult Choir and in special programs.

Nancy Daily

Nancy Dailey is the receptionist for the firm. Nancy started with Meyer & Associates in November 2007, working for the third-party administration part of the firm. She attended college in the state of Wyoming and graduated with a BA in 2007.

Outside of work Nancy enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is a member of Crossroads Community Church where is involved with the worship team.
